We are currently accepting Career Mentor Volunteers for our Youth Employment Readiness Mentoring Program!
You have the incredible opportunity to be a guiding light in the lives of youth aged 15-30 in our community. We are committed to making a real impact,
and we are thrilled to have you being part of this transformative journey.
Objective: Empower youth 15-30 with employment resources and coaching.
Career Mentors Engagement: YSS Career Mentors join other external professionals for various workshops to
learn, inspire, and share career insights.
In addition to these workshops, mentors provide day-to-day mentoring support to assigned mentees in:
o Identifying skills and interests, both personal and professional
o Learn how these skills can be applied to specific career paths
o Navigating education and employment opportunities
o Developing a Career Plan / Setting Career Goals
o Building a Resume and Cover Letter for job search
o Job searching & interview preparations
o Financial Literacy, etc.
How do we support Career Mentors?
o Volunteers receive a professional Mentoring Training
o Receive a volunteer handbook that clarifies everything about their volunteering roles.
o Ongoing Training & Capacity Building initiatives while equipping them with the tools, resources,
and support needed to perform their work.
o Community networking and engagements, etc.
